Qingdao, July 5, 2025 – Mr. Tim Wenniges, Deputy Director General of the Baden-Württemberg Entrepreneur Association (VSU) and Director for International Affairs of the Southwest Metal and Electrical Employers' Association (Südwestmetall), visited Honrock today. Accompanied by Mr. Zhao Wei, Deputy Director of the Qingdao Investment Promotion Center and General Manager of the Qingdao Investment Promotion Company, the delegation explored potential avenues for collaborative development.

Baden-Württemberg, Germany's third-largest state and a benchmark for European industry and innovation, is home to global giants like Daimler Mercedes-Benz, Bosch, Porsche, and SAP, alongside numerous hidden champion enterprises, underpinning its robust economic strength. In 2023, trade volume between the state and China exceeded €31.2 billion, highlighting the vibrant economic and trade cooperation between the two nations. Mr. Wenniges is leading a delegation of over 60 members from Baden-Württemberg, representing more than 40 companies specializing in digital economy, future mobility, robotics, and artificial intelligence. The delegation is conducting an inspection and exchange tour encompassing Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, and Qingdao.

Mr. Wenniges's visit to Honrock reciprocates the visit made by Honrock's General Manager, Dr. Qin Sigang, to Germany in February this year. Dr. Qin, who has extensive experience studying, working, and living in Germany, hosted the delegation and communicated entirely in German. He provided a detailed overview of Honrock's development history, core technologies, and product advantages. The discussions particularly focused on in-depth exploration of future technological cooperation within the rail transportation industry.

Following the visit, Mr. Wenniges expressed high regard for Honrock's R&D strength and production capabilities, emphasizing the broad prospects for cooperation between relevant German and Chinese enterprises in the field of advanced manufacturing. Dr. Qin affirmed that Honrock will continue to leverage its strengths to deepen partnerships with German counterparts, aiming for mutual and multilateral benefits. He stated that Honrock will use this visit as an opportunity to further strengthen technical exchanges and business collaboration with German companies, especially those in Baden-Württemberg, to contribute to the mutual development and high-quality advancement of the manufacturing sectors in both countries.

After the discussions, Dr. Qin presented Mr. Wenniges with a Honrock T-shirt. Mr. Wenniges was delighted to accept this special gift and specifically wore it during the subsequent dinner. This thoughtful gesture further deepened the friendship between the two leaders.
