Since 2022, Dubai Metro Group in the UAE has continuously advanced the upgrade of its metro safety systems, with door lock systems being a key focus area. To date, Honrock has successfully delivered 639 high-performance custom industrial locks to the Group, covering various application scenarios. This project demonstrates Honrock Group's sustained expansion capabilities in overseas markets over the years and validates the reliability and professionalism of its locking products in addressing critical security challenges within rail transit systems.

As one of the most modern and representative urban rail transit systems in the Middle East, Dubai Metro operates under extremely stringent standards. It imposes exceptionally high requirements on the safety performance of carriage facilities, component durability, and overall system stability. Honrock was deeply involved throughout this project, from initial design to final mass production, providing tailor-made lock solutions for different application environments. This effectively helped the project achieve a higher level of safety assurance and equipment management.

1.High Temperature & Sand Impacting Lock Durability and Sensitivity

Dubai's typical hot, arid climate means high temperatures and sand are prevalent most of the year. Conventional locks are prone to metal fatigue, corrosion, and jamming during long-term operation, directly impacting train safety.  

✅ Solution:

Honrock's locks utilize high-quality stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion and high-temperature resistance. Surface treatments like brushing and wire carving effectively extend service life and ensure smooth operation.

 

2. Critical Door Control Points Demand Enhanced Security & Anti-Misoperation

Critical areas like driver cabins and equipment cabinets pose safety risks if locks have inadequate structures or opening mechanisms, allowing accidental or unauthorized access.  

✅ Solution:

Driver Cabin Rear Door Lock:** Features a high-strength unidirectional locking structure with strict anti-touch and anti-pry design, ensuring the sealed security of the driver's workspace.

Three-Point Four-Corner Cabinet Lock:** Employs a three-point linkage mechanism to enhance locking stability, meeting anti-misoperation and vibration-proof requirements for high-use environments like control cabinets.

 

3. Frequent Maintenance Requires Stability & Ease of Operation

High maintenance frequency on metro equipment demands locks that are both reliable and easy to operate for quick opening/closing.

    **Rotary Handle Locks:** Feature ergonomic design for convenient and swift operation via a rotating handle. Widely used on equipment cabinet doors, they significantly improve user experience and efficiency.

 

4.Complex Installation Environments Require Flexibility

Metro projects involve diverse door structures, materials, and mounting positions, necessitating locks with good installation compatibility and structural flexibility.

Single-Point Four-Corner Cabinet Lock:** Modular design adapts to different orientations, opening directions, and cabinet thicknesses. Clear left/right-hand differentiation simplifies installation and improves construction efficiency.
